Michael and Maddie, the founders of Servir es Amar, walk in a cafe

Meet the Founders

Michael is from California, Maddie is from Colombia and together they live in Denver, Colorado and make videos under the monkier Un Par de Emes.

Shortly after marrying, the two decided they wanted to start their marriage by making an impact on the city where they met. Thus, they created Servir es Amar, which in English means to serve is to love.

Servir es Amar was born as a way to consistently generate funds to pour into their community. As individuals who grew up receiving help from others, the Nuñez family aim to pay it forward by giving to those who need it most.

Living downtown, the couple sees individuals experiencing hardships around their community each day. Which is why they decide to partner with The Network.

Network Coffee House

The Network Coffee House is a hospitality house supporting the unhoused neighbors in the area. They focus on affirming dignity of all people who enter their doors by offering a mutual kinship.

Since 1982, the Network's core idea is to create a hub for friendships and redemptive relationships.

Healing often comes in small and subtle increments. Since the Network has been around for more 40 years, they see continually the impact from their kindness they nurtured over time.

The Network is always looking for friends to contribute in person or with gifts. Feel free to visit their website to learn more about their ongoing impact.
